Classes:

Candlelit Slow Flow - In a tranquil, candlelit environment, students are brought out of their thoughts and into a sensory experience which calms the nervous system and uplifts the spirit.
A well-balanced blend of invigorating and relaxing postures, this mindful slow flow aims to help work muscles safely, increase flexibility and strength in the body while exploring the details of breath and alignment. Modifications, props and variations will be offered to those wishing to go deeper as well as for new students just beginning to feel comfortable in the practice of yoga. When we take time to open our bodies, deepen our breath and slow down our minds, our inner chemistry shifts towards balance and emerging bliss.

Hatha Yoga - In these classes, students will receive instruction in the fundamental postures of yoga.  Classes include sun salutations, and all students are encouraged to practice at their own level.  We can help you find that level!  This may mean that the instructor helps you modify if certain poses are not yet attainable, and it includes encouragement and assistance to take your practice to the next level.  Hatha classes are appropriate for beginners, but offer a lot of options for experienced yogis to challenge themselves.

Hatha Flow - These classes are appropriate for students already familiar with the basic postures, and the pace is a bit quicker than in a hatha class. You will be encouraged to work more deeply in the fundamental postures, and given instruction and help as you work toward deeper and more challenging asanas.  Hatha flow focuses intently on the breath practice, and as a result, the classes tend to be very warm and physically more rigorous.  These flow classes are most appropriate for those familiar with the basic postures, or those new to yoga but with a fairly high level of fitness.

Gentle Yoga - Gentle Yoga classes are designed to restore and rejuvenate the body. Yoga props such as blankets, blusters, and blocks are used to achieve support and comfort in each posture. Classes are held at a slower pace in order to focuses on stretching and releasing stress and tension from joints and muscles. This class is appropriate for all levels, especially for pre and post natal, students dealing with injuries, and anyone looking to de-stress!

Beginner's/Gentle/Prenatal Yoga - This class is catered to students new to yoga, or anyone looking to get back to the foundations of their practice as well as pregnant women. The class will be taught at a slower pace, and go over proper and safe alignment of yoga postures. For the pregnant woman, additional modifications will be encouraged  to support the body through the physical changes of pregnancy. The use yoga props will also be introduced to offer support for each individual body.

Yoga Basics - This class is for anyone new to yoga or who simply wants to get back to the basics. The class will be taught at a slower pace, and go over proper and safe alignment for yoga postures. Ways to modify and use yoga props will also be introduced to offer support for each individual body.

Yin Yoga is a simple practice, but not necessarily easy. It consists of a series of long-held, passive seated and lying down poses that target mainly the connective tissues and muscles. It also improves the energy flow throughout the body. Yin Yoga complements a more active muscular style of asana practice (yang). Yin helps release physical tightness. Benefits of Yin Yoga are stress reduction, calming and balancing the mind and body, greater joint mobility, increased circulation, improved flexibility and deeper relaxation. Yin is practiced in a cool room and appropriate for all levels.
